How to use the site

The Chemistry and Sport website can be used as a teaching resource to aid lessons in science and chemistry. The site has been designed to allow easy navigation and there are several different ways of locating available resources for down load.

Before you can download any resources you will need to register as a user with the site, if you haven’t done so already. This can be done by clicking on the 'login' tab on the right hand side of the top tool bar. If you have already registered you will need to login, again with this tab, and this will take you to your personalised home page which lists your previous downloads.

The search box above allows you to find available resources by age group, by clicking in one of the four available boxes, 7 - 11, 11 - 14, 14 - 16 and 16+.

You can also find resources by using the drop down menus in the search box. These tools can be used to search for resources by science topic or by sport.

The final way of searching for resource is by using the event calendar situated in the middle of the home page. This calendar lists a range of sporting events by date using icons to represent the sport. Any event which has a resource associated with it is highlighted in green .

If the event icon is not in green you can still click the icon to find out a little more about the event and the sport.

The calendar can be scrolled back two months to allow you to get resources for recent events.

Each search tool will take you to an event page or resource and by clicking on the mortar boards,  , where present, the resources can then be downloaded by following the instructions.
