The Youth World Championships for swimming are held biennially with the first competition having taken place in 2006. The event is for under 18 year olds only.

 
About Swimming
Swimming is a method of moving through water, humans use a variety of strokes called breast stroke, front crawl, back crawl and butterfly.  It is both a competitive sport and a recreational activity, chosen by many for it numerous benefits to health. One of the major benefits of swimming is that it is non weight bearing so reduces the risk of injuries.
