 | The IPC (International Paralympic Committee) Swimming World Championships consists of a number of different classes to try and make the competition as equal and fair as possible. There are 13 different categories – S1 to S13. The number attributed to the category for S1 through S10 relates to how sever the physical disability is for the competitors with S1 being the most severe. S11 – S13 are for competitors who have a non-physical disability. Most classes have competitions in all the major strokes. |
